
VYZOV Prize Laureates and Scientific Committee Members Among Top Two Percent of World’s Most Cited Scientists

Stanford University has published its list of the world’s most cited scientists in 2024. It includes ten members of the VYZOV Prize Scientific Committee: Artem Oganov, Valentin Ananikov, Yuri Oganesyan, Raul Gainetdinov, Evgeny Burnaev, Aleksey Fedorov, Alexander Sergeev, Emil Akhmedov, Andrei Shevelkov and Sergey Kilin. Laureates of the VYZOV Prize are also on that list, including Nikos Logothetis, Valery Tuchin, Raul Gainetdinov, Leonid Fershtat, Pavlos Lagoudakis, Evgeny Antipov and co-laureate Artem Abakumov. Stanford University compiled its ranking based on Scopus author profiles and science metrics as of August 1st, 2025.
Chairman of the VYZOV Prize Scientific Committee Artem Oganov noted that rankings such as the one presented annually by Stanford offer an evaluation of the frequency and relevance of scientists’ publishing activities. We are proud to emphasize the fact that Stanford’s authoritative list includes 16 scientists related to the VYZOV Prize, which points to our award’s high international reputation and objectivity. Its laureates and Scientific Committee members are widely acknowledged not only in Russia, but worldwide.
